Angry Easter Egg
This image is a compilation of a crazy selfie and a cracked piece of sidewalk. I imported the cracked concrete and clipped it to the selfie layer mask. The transparency of the concrete layer was adjusted as well as the layer type (multiply). Next I removed the concrete texture from the eyes, eyebrows and mouth. I whitened up the whites of the eyes as well as the teeth. To enhance the 3d of the egg shape, I added a drop shadow and a highlight at the top of the egg shape. I also added a light shadow to the bottom of the egg. If I had unlimited time, I would place this egg in an egg carton or basket with several other angry Easter eggs. |

Magic Font
This effect is the result of over an hour of work. It is a pretty complex project with two layers full of many settings of shadow, texture, highlights, and so forth. It begins with downloading the cool decorative font and then proceeding through several sets of instructions to achieve the finished product. |

Eighties Art
This is pretty fun to do, but not my favorite outcome. It seems a little cheesy to me and I wish I had used a less cartoony blue to start with. This image includes a plain gradient background, warped cloud effect, lake circles overlay, elipse creation and placement with effects to make them glow, an finally, downloading a really cool set of brushes to add in the star bursts. This was a fun project to work on and I can see that a slightly less intense use of this effect would be really nice in a woodsy, earthy setting. |
