"Take me out to the Ball Game"
This project makes use of selection to enhance the vibrancy of the ball field and also to blur the crowd. I chose to blur the crowd to place more emphasis on the game, but still show the crowd. Titles are aligned hugging each side of the image. This is mainly to make use of the dark sky open spaces to allow for easier reading. I removed two other light poles that interfered with the text. Repetition is used in both the font style and in the color (sampled from the player on first base) that represents the team's colors. The round shape of the ball field pulls the eye to follow around the curve and explore the picture.

"House of the Lord"
This image was composed before taking to include as much of the surrounding scenery as possible. It also was composed to show the diagonal lines (bottom left and right) leading to the outer edges of the image. Photoshop was used to brighten the building a bit. Also, to repeat the cool cloud pattern on the left of the edifice. Previously, the clouds on the left covered about 30% of the sky on the left. Leaving the con trails only on the right side allows for a nice space for the text.
Repetition is part of the composition with palm trees and foilage on both sides of the building. Text uses the same font in all writing. Alignment is right so that the left edge of the text follows the shape of the building itself. I used photoshop to straighten the photo, which was previously slanted a bit. The image was cropped to remove red/yellow curbing in front of the building as well.
