This collage is meant to show the cold winter background with a promise of warmer seasons to come encapsulated in the sphere. Alternately, it could be a warm memory taken out to look at on a cold frosty day.
I used the three images above to create this image. I first turned down the saturation of color on the background image. Next, I added the hand picture, masking and deleting the office background. I created a spherical shape and pasted in an image of string lake. I added shadow to both the sphere and the hand. I added a feathered black ring on the globe and subtle highlights to increase the illusion of a 3D object in the hand.
