I wanted the feel of high contrast here.  To achieve this, I did several things.
1. I selected the leaf and upped the saturation, changed the hue slightly and experimented with several other effects on the leaf itself.
2. I lowered the saturation on everything but the leaf to make the contrast stronger.

Text
I wanted the alignment to allow the text to follow the contours of the leaf, not any hard edges to the words.  Both the font choice and the placement are intentional to avoid hard edges or lines.

I lightened part of the shadow as I felt it was a distraction to the presentation.  The balance of the piece is achieved with the leaf v. the font for attention.

Text is actually a mask, which allowed me to experiment with different colors from the picture in the text.  Although I would have liked to use a green text, there was not enough of a contrast to allow for easy reading.
